Mmmm...

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week. Often Morgan makes a special breakfast. Today was one of those days. Ginger Pancakes! Owen loves pancakes! I love that there are usually leftovers that last into the middle of the week so breakfast is easy! This morning he was coloring while he was enjoying his pancakes.

For Christmas my Mom gave Morgan a book called Bread in 5 minutes a day. Or something like that. Anyway, You do something to the dough everyday and then after so many days it's ready to bake. This was Morgan's first go at it. It turned out great!
This was just a little loaf he baked on Saturday morning. He made a bigger one later in the day. Good texture and crumb. The crust is nice and crunchy. Owen also loves bread! This little loaf didn't take long for us to polish off. I think he and I had it 1/2 gone before Morgan returned from walking Ludwig!

Yesterday was our St. Patrick's Day dinner. We had corned beef sandwiches with potatoes and salad. It's Morgan's way of celebrating my smidgen of Irish heritage! He'll celebrate any holiday if there is food involved!

Friday we went to see Horton Hears a Who with some friends and their two daughters. It was Owen's first theater movie! We went to a cinema grill theater so there was dinner along with the movie. He was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the screen initially and the preview before the movie was a bit scary so he ended up sitting with me for a bit. But after he got comfortable we moved him to his own seat next to the girls where he could eat his dinner and watch the movie. He loved it! He was fascinated by the girls and all the other people. We also hadn't seen our friends for quite sometime so it was fun to reconnect.

I think my spring cleaning bug has officially taken off. I sorted through the clothes in my 1/2 of the closet and removed any that weren't being or worn or were too warm for the rest of winter and into spring. I'm also switching my clothes to wooden hangers so I put all my pants on to those. Morgan's side was reorganized a bit too. I am one of those goofy people who enjoys cleaning, organizing and reorganizing. I think it drives Morgan a little bit nuts. Someone has to be neat and clean around here though!

Looks like you were a busy person. Were all those pancakes for little Owen or did he share them with you? That roll/biscuit looked yummy.

Those pancakes look delish! Look's like Morgan did a great job on that bread, I love bread also.

The movie and dinner sound wonderful! I don't think we have anything like that on the island. Sounds like you had a great time.

Wow... Spring cleaning... I haven't even thought about that.
Hope you guys have a great St. Patty's Day!

Good for you on the closet, that always makes me feel better and I need to do some work in there, too. Morgan makes handsome bread and pancakes too - I'm salivating a little. Don't look, but you two seem cozy happay lately...cool beans, winkwink
