Goodbye March...

The last day of March and it snowed all day. Yes, ALL DAY! Well, maybe not 24 hours. But at least 12. I stopped taking the pictures at 9 pm and I missed 5 and 6 pm because I was at work. But it was still snowing, I could see it out the office window. And it was still snowing at 9 pm when I took the last picture. March is a crappy month. (If you click the picture you can see a larger view). If you read my blog even just occasionally you are aware that March is my least favorite month. I am not sad to see it go. I wish it would take it's crappy weather with it!

While I was taking one of the above pictures I heard a chain saw. Not a common sound during a snowy day in March. For some reason I just decided to look out the back door and here is what I found!
Yes, they were in our yard. No, I was not aware of this. No one knocked on the door to let me know they would be entering my yard to saw off the top of a utility pole. This irks me a bit. Trespassing. Mostly because when they do trespass they don't close the gate and Ludwig could get out and that would be very, very bad. The man on the ground was very nice though and made sure the gate was closed.

Owen's favorite response to any question lately is "no". A cute little "no", but "no" nonetheless. I asked him to smile for me. He said no, but as you can see he smiled anyway. Just not AT the camera.
Everyday I'm amazed at his little personality that is developing. He is learning so much everyday and trying so hard to be independent. And he likes his new independence as long as he can still cling to my leg while he's doing it!

During my "crappy weather boredom" today I was perusing Flickr and came across some fun pictures of toys. So I decided to have a little photo shoot of some of Owen's cars. This is the one that turned out best. I added the vignette in PSE.

Now I need to go cut the brownies I just baked so hubby stops whining!

I'm with you! Can't wait to see the snow go away. We've been having rain here, which I actually quite like. The snow is slowly melting and I can see some of the grass appearing.

I'm not a big fan of March either. So happy to see it finally gone. I can't really complain so much about the weather. We hardly got any snow I think maybe a full 4 inches all winter which is a miracle here.

Get use to the "no" word. Once they've learned it they never forget it.

Love the photo of the toy car. Great job on it.

Brownies?? You had to mention that. Now I'm craving chocolate. *sigh* I can see why you were glad to bid farewell to March. Great photos of the little guy & his car. :)

Ooops! I just remembered that I forgot to answer your question on my blog - I fill the eye pillows with flax seed. It was suggested to use that or small lintels in the pattern direction. After "researching" [ok, googling ;) ], flax seed appeared to be the common filler. Some I saw used lavender and other aromatic herbs, but I didn't think my DH wanted a "girly" smelling pillow. LOL

I think I'm still in the honeymoon period about winters - after so many years in CA and only 2 here in CO, I love it! Spring isn't far away though...I'm sure...

Owen is such a cutie!!

Thanks for commenting on my blog last week! I've been absent a lot lately and wondered if anyone was still out there!

At any rate, we've had snow here in Oregon too...not like us to have snow during spring break, but we had some this year...I'll be glad when I can see the sun more too!

Hah! We were caught in that same snow storm! Insane weather for the last day of March. Thank goodness for some warm (ish) days ahead and hopefully the big thaw will happen for real now!

I love your hourly photo montage! Your pics are always so great. :)
