Ugh...Ahhhh!

Have you ever put something in a safe place only to realize exactly how safe it is when you go to find that something?? Before we went on vacation I cleaned out my purse and emptied it of all the things I wouldn't need on vacation. A bunch of stuff from my wallet and the checkbook. Those items are all still safely in the place I put them. BECAUSE I CAN'T REMEMBER WHERE THAT PLACE IS! And this isn't the first time I've done it either. That's the kicker!

My library card just happens to be one of the items in the safe place. I've got a bunch of books on hold and I'd like to go get them so I'd like to find the card! But not that I think of it I think I can just type in the number to check out books. And yes, I am one of those people who has their number memorized! I go to the library a lot. After all the books are free!

Right now Owen and I are having a few minutes apart. He's listening to John Lithgow and playing with some toy that makes noise. And I'm typing. It's a mommy time-out actually. He's kind of whiny today and I just can't take that. Especially when I'm looking for something I've safely stowed away from myself!

And it's raining... it's a great day!

yes!!
after our house was robbed, i took the things that were missed, like my dad's wedding ring and stashed them...
and could not remember where I put them!!

but, months later, I was looking for something completely unrelated and there they were!!

It's very frustrating isn't it - hopefully they will turn up soon for you!

Yep, I've done that too - and it was also for vacation :) I hope your things turn up soon!

I also hope that you and Owen have a whine-free day tomorrow!

I HATE it when that happens!

Good luck with finding it :)

Well, this happens to me all the time..I mean like ALL the time..So maybe it's genetic. We are just wired to hide things from ourselves..I'll help you find your stuff if you help me find mine!

I call that getting old! So what is your excuse, you're not old?
If the sun doesn't shine soon I may never get out of bed again, I hate this weather.
