I'm sure you won't pick any of these names but they're hilarious! The nicknames have a hispanic flavor to them LOL! This is just for your laughing pleasure :P
Chaco, Toribio, Pancho, Ciro and Juancho...but he does look more like a Fred to me.
Ok, I totally cheated (big surprise there, I am the youngest) but I just googled "gnome names" and I found a name generator, and its funny.. It gave a whole bunch of names..but here are some I thought were funny. Bunkfoodle, Murwocket, Loopmottin, Ninburt and Bimpwick..I think that Matt would want you to name it "Scrancho" but anyways..Thats all I have...I like Bimpwick..
Ok... I know this is not a great name, but for some reason I liked the name Ashton. You could also go with Hoodwink (I don't know where that one just came from). Oh... one more Merlin. Ok.. good luck with the names!

I like Henry (Rachael's suggestion), but I also thought about Percy :) Is he going on a circle journal adventure?

As for a name...how about Eduardo? My daughter is taking Spanish this year and it was the first thing that popped into my mind! ;)
For some reason, I'm thinking Darwin! I wonder where he's going?? :-)
I have the name Santo in my head. Its the first name that came to my mind.
